Miko Sandejas

“These drawings/collages are from a project called a "copy book" where I accumulate drawings and images to point where the page becomes saturated with them and images become obscured and destroyed. The page itself becomes an all-over image. I imagine the copybook and its pages to be like batteries where energy is represented by that accumulation of the activity of drawing, the layers of drawing, and the disruptive interaction between those layers.”

Miko Sandejas is a Filipino contemporary artist based in Manila, Philippines. He studied Fine Arts and Art History at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Sandejas has previously participated in exhibitions in prestigious galleries such as Finale Art File Gallery, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Osage, Hong Kong, Vargas Museum, and mag:net.
