Hi there! Today, Vintana is launching a nonprofit fundraising auction of two limited edition sculptures by revered Filipino sculptor Julie Lluch.
“Red Heart” is a cold-cast marble sculpture painted in acrylic, with dimensions of 11 x 9 x 5 inches. The heart has long been a recurring form in Lluch’s oeuvre, used in different themes and personal beliefs, including sensuality and feminist ideology. Sculpted by Lluch in 2019, it is one of an edition of four.
This “Red Heart” sculpture will come with its own certificate of authenticity, signed by Julie Lluch.

UPDATE: The charity auction of "Red Heart" was successful. It was sold to the highest bidder on March 12, 2021. This piece was sold at P26,000. All proceeds go to the artist and her cause.
One of our country’s preeminent sculptors, Julie Lluch is a self-taught sculptor with a long career working in clay, bronze, stone, and ceramics. She is also considered one of our foremost artists in the temperamental and sensual medium of terracotta.
Known also for life-sized portraits, heart cacti, and public bronze monuments, her sculptures are often autobiographical and ideological in origin, touching on the feminine, the literary, the theological, and the heroic. Most recently, Lluch’s tableau of sculptures was the highlight at the 2020 Art Fair as her homage to Juan Luna’s Spolarium and her protest to the current state of the Philippines.
